Bij de primeurtasting 2005 was dit een wijn die zeer charmant en toegankelijk was. Genoeg sap om het hout te dragen en niet teveel gebrande geuren. Een 2005 die gerust meekan met zijn grotere broers uit de Haut Médoc maar dan aan een democratische prijs. Gevinifieerd door Ricardo Cottarella en Alain Reynaud, niet de minste zou ik zeggen.

This beautiful 2005 is one of the finest cuvées yet produced by this northern Médoc estate. Supple tannin along with sweet crème de cassis aromas and flavors intermixed with notions of smoke, cedar,
barrique, and asphalt are found in this opulently-textured, modernstyled Bordeaux. It should handsomely repay 10-12 years of cellaring.
